Senior Lead Engineer

• Lead engineering teams delivering high-quality software and improving business efficiency • Design and develop a scalable, resilient, high-performing PnL reporting platform • Support Risk Analysts, Front Office Traders, and Senior Executives through the reporting platform • Manage multiple development streams and follow proper code promotion processes • Manage lower development environments and ensure environment stability • Conduct design reviews and code reviews • Reverse engineer legacy code and optimize code to address system bottlenecks • Analyze production issues and provide permanent solutions • Promote best practices and continuous integration and delivery • Drive transformation by automating processes, testing, and optimizing data quality • Explore new capabilities and technologies to drive innovation • Collaborate with technical and non-technical professionals, PMs, business sponsors, and global teams Requirements • 10+ years of technical leadership experience leading engineering teams delivering large-scale and mission-critical projects • 5+ years managing an engineering team • 8+ years of Java/JEE experience • 5+ years of experience in the Spring tech stack and building microservices using Spring Boot • 3+ years of experience in Scala/Spark • Strong experience with Hadoop, Spark, Parquet or similar Big Data technologies • Strong experience in a Linux environment • Experience designing and integrating with REST APIs • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka • Experience with RDBMS and demonstrable fluency in SQL • Experience with non-relational databases such as Cassandra preferred • Experience with Git, CI/CD toolset, Maven, and Jenkins • Experience working within an Agile environment • Understanding of best practices and design patterns • Experience developing and managing highly scalable and low-latency systems • Good communication skills • Experience collaborating efficiently within a global team • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with PMs and business sponsors • Hands-on experience with market risk and/or PnL reporting is nice to have Core Competencies Demonstrates extensive technical leadership in delivering large-scale, mission-critical software projects, with a strong focus on Java/JEE, Spring tech stack, and Big Data technologies.
