Data Scientist - Python

Role : Data Scientist Location : Remote / Pune Experience : 7+ Years Employment Type : Full-Time Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with 7+ years of hands-on experience in traditional AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and statistical modeling . The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in developing and deploying analytical models using Python and SQL , with experience working on large-scale datasets in Databricks . The candidate will be responsible for solving complex business problems through data-driven approaches, building predictive models, and delivering actionable insights. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and implement advanced machine learning and statistical models for business problems. - Build solutions using forecasting, optimization, clustering, regression, and recommendation models . - Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis. - Work with large and complex datasets using Databricks, SQL, and Python . - Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to support business decision-making. - Identify patterns, trends, and relationships within large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights. - Evaluate model performance and continuously improve model accuracy, scalability, and reliability. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, software engineers, and other data scientists. - Develop reusable data science workflows and analytical frameworks. - Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience : - 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or a related field. - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL . - Hands-on experience with : 1. Forecasting / Time-Series Modeling 2. Optimization Techniques 3. Clustering 4. Regression 5. Recommendation Systems 6. Statistical Analysis 7. Predictive Modeling - Strong experience working with large-scale datasets . - Hands-on experience with Databricks and distributed data processing. - Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical concepts, and model evaluation techniques. - Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model validation, and performance optimization. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to independently own data science problems from problem definition through model development and insights delivery . Good to Have : - Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark . - Experience with ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch . - Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP . - Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments. - Knowledge of MLOps and model monitoring . - Experience in working with business-critical analytics and optimization problems.
