Chief of Staff - FMCG/Consumer Durables - South

CHIEF OF STAFF An established Indian consumer-products business with a growing presence in the grooming, personal-care and allied consumer categories is seeking a Chief of Staff. 1. Position & Hiring Parameters: Location: South Mumbai; office-led, high-interaction model Experience: 5 - 7 years relevant professional experience 2. Role Mandate & Seniority: - High-ownership Founder's Office / Strategic Execution role; not an Executive Assistant, MIS-only analyst or meeting coordinator. - Act as the Founder/Promoter's execution partner across strategy, operations, manufacturing, commercial initiatives, research, technology/AI and cross-functional projects. - Expected to move from ambiguous founder priorities to structured decisions, workplans, owners, milestones, governance and measurable outcomes. - Seniority is best evidenced through independent project ownership and direct exposure to a Founder, CEO, MD, Business Head or senior leadership team. 3. Education Level & Qualifications: - Preferred: MBA / PGDM in Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Operations or General Management from a reputed business school. - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Commerce, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or another analytically rigorous discipline - CA/CFA/CS or related professional qualifications can be advantageous where paired with strong execution experience. - Academic pedigree is explicitly secondary to problem-solving, ownership and measurable execution impact. 4. Required Skills & Competencies: - Strategic problem solving, issue trees, prioritisation, scenario/sensitivity analysis and executive recommendation writing. - Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides; dashboard/data-visualisation capability desirable. - Cross-functional project leadership across sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, procurement, HR, technology and new-business initiatives. - Commercial acumen covering revenue, margin, pricing, distribution, inventory and working-capital implications. - Founder's Office judgement, discretion, confidentiality, prioritisation and ability to operate with incomplete information. - Research and business-case development across markets, categories, competitors, consumers, channels, partnerships and geographies. - AI/automation orientation: identify practical productivity opportunities, pilot workflows and measure adoption/business impact. - Executive communication, stakeholder influence without formal authority, resilience and high pace.
