Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs. Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.

Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and optimised for performance. Drive technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and review code to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Act as a mentor to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Manage system integrations across internal and third-party platforms Contribute to DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe software delivery. Document key design decisions, system workflows, and technical specifications.

Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and resilience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4 years of hands-on backend development experience in enterprise or cloud-native applications. Proficient in Java Spring Boot. Solid experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and message queues (e. g. Rabbit MQ).

Expertise in database architecture and performance tuning across SQL, NoSQL, and Caching layers (e. g. , PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
