Job Description
THOAR Mining provides a wide range of mining support and operational services, including project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and mining equipment operation.
We are currently seeking highly motivated, safety-focused Underground Mine Production Supervisors for a potash project with one of our clients at a mine site in Saskatchewan.
This position requires availability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts .

Key Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently lead day-to-day project activities supporting continuous rehabilitation operations.
• Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training and qualification requirements.
• Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within equipment design parameters.
• Provide clear work direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure employees understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Address performance concerns and support employee development when required.
• Mentor and develop team members, supporting career growth and long-term organizational success.
• Facilitate effective communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.
• Coordinate manpower, resources, and work activities to ensure safe and efficient contract operations.
• Act as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Review and authorize work permits in accordance with site requirements.
Qualifications
• Valid Underground Supervisor certification/ticket as required under Saskatchewan mining regulations.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices with an excellent safety record.
• Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workplace.
• Minimum of five (5) years of mining operations experience , preferably in potash mining.
• Proven ability to lead teams safely, effectively, and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments and contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews while adapting to client operational requirements.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and process control software.
• Experience using maintenance or work scheduling software.
Client Requirements
• Successful completion of a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
