Director - Cyber Security

Role Overview : As the Director of Cyber Security, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital ecosystem, data integrity, and technological infrastructure. You will work closely with the C-suite, board members, and cross-functional department heads to align security initiatives with overarching business objectives. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of security-first thinking, ensuring that the company remains resilient against evolving global threats while maintaining seamless operational continuity for our clients and stakeholders. By driving robust governance and proactive risk management, you will directly influence the company's reputation and long-term digital trust. Key Responsibilities : - Formulate and execute a comprehensive enterprise-wide information security strategy to mitigate risks and protect critical assets from sophisticated cyber threats. - Oversee the implementation of IT governance frameworks and security policies to ensure full compliance with global regulatory standards and internal mandates. - Lead high-performing security teams in conducting regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and ethical hacking exercises to identify and remediate potential security gaps. - Manage complex security risk assessments, providing actionable insights to executive leadership to support informed decision-making regarding technology investments. - Collaborate with legal and compliance departments to manage data privacy initiatives and ensure adherence to evolving international data protection laws. - Direct incident response planning and crisis management protocols to minimize business disruption and ensure rapid recovery during security events. Required Skillset : - Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing enterprise-grade security architectures, with a deep understanding of cloud security, network defense, and identity management. - Proven ability to translate complex technical security metrics into clear, business-focused narratives for non-technical stakeholders and board members. - Strong leadership capabilities in mentoring diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative environment within a hybrid work setup in Gurgaon. - Advanced proficiency in security risk management, compliance analytics, and the application of industry-standard frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC2. - Possession of professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent senior-level credentials that validate a high degree of technical and managerial competence. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of navigating high-pressure situations and making decisive, ethical choices under tight deadlines. - A minimum of 12 to 20 years of progressive experience in information security, with a significant portion spent in leadership roles overseeing large-scale security operations.
