Site based Quantity Surveyor

Site based Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities • Manage project costs from pre-construction through to completion • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost reports • Measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities • Valuations, payment certificates and progress claims • Subcontractor management and commercial administration • Variations, claims and final accounts • Cost forecasting and financial reporting • Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Consultants • Ensure effective commercial control throughout the project lifecycle Requirements • BSc/BTech/Diploma in Quantity Surveying • Professional registration with SACQSP advantageous • Minimum 5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience • Proven experience on residential and commercial building projects • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management • Excellent measurement and cost-control skills • Experience with CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart advantageous • Strong computer and Excel skills • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities • Valid driver’s licence
