Manager - Direct Taxation

Purpose of the job: To ensure effective management of the Company's direct tax matters, including tax compliance, tax planning, assessments, litigation, and advisory services, while minimizing tax risks and ensuring compliance with applicable direct tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities: - Corporate income tax computation - Advance tax calculations - TDS/TCS compliance - Tax provisioning under Ind AS / IFRS - Deferred tax accounting - Tax audits and assessments - Salary and expatriate taxation - Capital gains computation and HNI tax planning - Structuring transactions for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring - Handling litigation, appeals before CIT(A), ITAT, and High Courts - Transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking - International taxation including DTAA, PE issues, and BEPS compliance Skills required: - Strong knowledge of Income-tax Act, 1961, Finance Acts, and CBDT Circulars - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Income Tax Portal, and SAP/Oracle Education & Experience: - Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA preferred - 10-15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts - Exposure to plantation, manufacturing, or multi-location businesses preferred - Proven experience in leadership roles and business partnering
