Migration & Deployment- L2 Network Engineer

Network Operations Engineer (MPLS / Core Routing) Important Note: Preference will be given strictly to immediate joiners to candidates with a maximum 30-day notice period . Candidates with a notice period exceeding 30 days will not be considered. Role Summary Maintain operational integrity and execute network changes and migrations with high precision during scheduled maintenance windows, ensuring minimal disruption to critical service provider infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Operations & Troubleshooting: Monitor MPLS network health and perform Tier-2 troubleshooting for MPLS L2/L3 VPNs, BGP, and OSPF/ISIS protocols. • Deployment & Migration: Execute site commissioning, decommissioning, and seamless logical migrations of customer services across diverse hardware platforms. • Maintenance Window (MW) Execution: Carry out configuration changes and hardware replacements during night-time and early-morning maintenance windows, strictly adhering to approved Method of Procedure (MOP) documents. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate change logs, update network topology diagrams, and deliver comprehensive shift-handover reports. Required Skills & Experience • Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in telecom or service provider environments. • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Cisco IOS-XR, MPLS, BGP, and QoS configurations. • Operational Readiness: Ability to work in rotating shifts and manage high-pressure environments during critical night-time cutovers.
