25,000 – Rs35,000 per month Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to oversee, maintain, and optimize our core network infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and high performance of our wired and wireless environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, routers, firewalls, and enterprise access points.

Key Responsibilities

Switching & Routing: Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) network switches and routers. Manage VLANs, spanning tree protocol (STP), link aggregation (LACP), and static/dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, or EIGRP).

Network Security: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls. Manage access control lists (ACLs), VPN tunnels (IPsec/SSL), NAT policies, and perimeter security to safeguard company data.

Wireless Infrastructure: Deploy, configure, and optimize wireless enterprise Access Points (APs) and wireless LAN controllers (WLCs). Conduct site surveys and troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity, signal interference, and authentication issues.

Network Maintenance: Perform regular network firmware upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements. Monitor network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and system logs to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide tier 2/3 technical support for complex network outages, connectivity problems, and hardware failures. Documentation: Maintain accurate topology maps, network diagrams, configuration backups, and asset inventories.

Qualifications

& Skills Experience: 3+ years of professional experience working as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or in a similar infrastructure role.

Hardware & Protocols: Deep technical knowledge of L2/L3 switching, routing protocols, firewalls, and wireless access points (experience with brands like Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, or Juniper is highly preferred).

Network Fundamentals: Solid understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnets. Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues under pressure.

Certifications (Preferred but not required): CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent technical certifications.
