Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join an industry-leading organisation specialising in technical capital equipment for the heavy vehicle and trucking industries. This is a road-based position, responsible for the Victoria and Tasmania territory, with an established customer base and an uncapped commission structure. You will take ownership of an established territory with an existing client base spanning councils, workshops and waste companies, with a strong focus on retaining and growing these relationships while proactively securing new business. You will initially operate as the sole Business Development Manager, with a genuine pathway to progress into a State Manager role and build your own team as the territory continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and grow an established territory across Victoria and Tasmania, covering councils, workshops and waste companies • Maintain and strengthen relationships with an existing client base while proactively identifying new business opportunities • Conduct sales calls, customer meetings, product demonstrations and proposal presentations across the territory • Assist customers with service issues and product enquiries, working closely with internal service, warehouse and customer experience teams • Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales, pipeline and gross margin targets Key Requirements: • Minimum three years' sales experience, ideally in capital equipment • Demonstrated experience managing a sales territory and growing an existing client base • A growth focused mindset, with a genuine drive to build new business alongside managing existing accounts • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills • Current driver licence, with the ability to work from home and travel across Victoria and Tasmania as required This is a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career in technical sales with a well-established business in the capital equipment space.
