Graduate Engineering Program 2027

Description At Downer Energy & Utilities, we are looking for motivated and ambitious Graduate Engineers to join our team and contribute to delivering critical infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. As a Graduate Engineer, you will participate in a structured graduate program, with the possibility of rotating across various business functions and project environments. You will gain valuable hands on experience supporting operational, financial, programming and administrative activities while working alongside experienced industry professionals. This role offers the opportunity to build your technical capability, develop commercial awareness and strengthen stakeholder engagement skills while contributing to projects that power and connect communities. Flexibility and mobility are essential, as project based work may require travel and relocation throughout Australia and/ or New Zealand. What We’re Looking For • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering , completed in 2025 or due for completion by the end of 2026 • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency • Hold current driver's licence and availability to commence in February 2027 • A willingness to learn, an open mindset and a desire to build your professional career from the ground up • Strong communication and relationship building skills • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail • A collaborative approach and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals • A proactive, self motivated attitude with a commitment to ongoing development What We Offer At Downer, we are committed to developing our people and providing meaningful career opportunities.
