Software Development Engineer II, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) - Workforce Optimization

Our team is looking for Software Development Engineers who love listening to our customers, working as a team, and building large scalable systems. This is an opportunity to build and improve systems that will help Fulfillment Centers (FCs i. e.

Amazon Warehouses) and other building types around the world to operate efficiently by providing information and insights to FC operators and software services which rely on real time information for planning and staffing.

These systems provide aggregate data and help build an end-to-end picture of FC state to help users make key decisions to improve efficiency and staff optimally. These decisions impact delivery of packages to Amazon customers. Your work will directly influence Amazon business and customer promise.

As a member of this team, you will get the opportunity to work on highly visible, innovative projects that directly impact the customer experience. You will be involved in all the aspects of the software development cycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing & delivery of your product.

A successful candidate will have an established background with strong technical ability, bar raising engineering skills, great communication skills and motivation to achieve results for your customers. In this role you will both code and mentor junior engineers committing code to the program.
