Client: Government Services Integration Cluster Ministry: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Location: Toronto, Ontario Work Arrangement: Onsite – 5 Days per Week Contract Start: September 21, 2026 Contract End: October 1, 2027 Extension: Up to 1 Extension Term Security Clearance: No Clearance Required Position Type: Contract Number of Openings: 1 Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer to design, develop, implement, and support large-scale, multi-client web and mobile applications. The successful candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise across full-stack development, mobile application development, Java, React, React Native, REST APIs, databases, cloud technologies, DevOps, and modern software architecture. This role requires a technically strong professional capable of working throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and delivering scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing applications. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and continuously enhance data pipelines, including extraction, transformation, and loading activities. • Translate technical system specifications into fully functional, tested applications. • Develop detailed programming specifications and write, generate, compile, test, debug, and maintain application code. • Conduct unit testing and support application deployment and troubleshooting. • Resolve technical issues arising during the use and operation of software applications. • Provide technical assistance during implementation, conversion, migration, and post-implementation activities. • Collaborate with IT professionals and stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. • Design, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications. • Develop and integrate front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, databases, and mobile applications. • Build scalable and high-performance web and mobile solutions. • Participate in design walkthroughs and collaborate closely with functional and technical teams. • Develop user and system documentation as required. • Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues. Requirements Mandatory Core Skills & Experience Full Stack Development The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong experience in: • 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer of large-scale, multi-client web applications. • 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience . • Experience working with Azure SQL Database, Dataverse, and Oracle databases . • 5+ years of hands-on experience with: • REST APIs • React • TypeScript • HTML5 • CSS3 • Node.js Strong experience with front-end and back-end application development and integration. Experience designing and implementing overall web architecture. Experience implementing approved user interfaces and database deployments. Experience designing applications for speed, scalability, extensibility, and maintainability. Experience developing and integrating REST API services. Experience integrating front-end UI components with APIs. Experience developing responsive web applications. Strong understanding of application architecture and modern design patterns. Mandatory Mobile Application Development Skills Candidates must have strong hands-on experience in mobile application development , including: • Experience with the React Native framework for cross-platform mobile application development . • Hands-on experience developing mobile applications for both iOS and Android . • Knowledge of: • Android SDK • iOS SDK • Platform-specific APIs Familiarity with native modules and bridging between React Native and native code.
