Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Job Summary: The Senior Full Stack Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale multi-client web applications. This role involves working across the entire technology stack, including front-end and back-end development, database management, API design, and deployment. The developer will collaborate with IT professionals throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and expand data pipelines involving extraction, transformation, and loading activities. • Translate technical system specifications into tested, working applications through programming and unit testing. • Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during software use, including implementation, conversion, and migration assistance. • Develop detailed programming specifications, write code, compile data-driven programs, and maintain applications. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the software development life cycle. • Design, code, test, debug, and document applications using structured methodologies. • Develop front-end interfaces and back-end services, integrating RESTful APIs and ensuring high performance and scalability. • Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. • Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues. • Conduct design walkthroughs and document user and system requirements. Required Skills & Certifications: • 10+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale multi-client web applications. • 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases. • 5+ years of experience with REST API and RESTful web services. • Proficiency in front-end and back-end development including React, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS. • Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and core architecture principles. • Experience with security protocols and gateways such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates. • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA. • Solid understanding of object-oriented coding practices, design patterns, clean code, and refactoring. • Strong database and SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server). • Experience with REST and SOAP web services. • Knowledge of WCAG and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: • Experience with front-end frameworks such as AngularJS, RXJS, NextJS, and VueJS. • Knowledge of blockchain and smart contract development using Solidity. • Experience with middleware, gateways, and rapid application development methodologies. • Familiarity with Java WebLogic, Tomcat, EJB, and Servlet technologies. • Understanding of information management principles, policies, and practices. • Experience in responsive web application development and UX/UI fundamentals. • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment best practices. • Experience with public sector development standards and processes. Special Considerations: • Must be available for 5 days onsite. • Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines. • Strong adaptability to change and collaborative teamwork environment. Scheduling: • Standard full-time work schedule with potential for on-site presence as required. • May involve coordination with teams across different time zones depending on project needs.
