Finance Analyst

Location : Macquarie Park, Sydney, NSW Salary Package: Be rewarded - $100 + super Role Highlights : Financial Analyst opportunity within a global organisation. Partner with senior finance stakeholders across Australia and Japan while developing your experience across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis. Role Overview This Financial Analyst will join the Budget & Reporting team and provide additional capability across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis. Working within a global organisation, you will have exposure to senior finance stakeholders including the CFO, while also regularly partnering with overseas entities. This is a hands-on role that combines financial analysis with reporting and month-end support, providing an excellent opportunity to develop broader commercial finance capability. The role would suit a Japanese-speaking finance professional who enjoys working with data, understands the ways of working within Japanese organisations and can confidently communicate financial information across both Australian and Japanese stakeholders. Responsibilities • Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, analysing actual performance against projections and investigating key variances • Analyse financial data to identify trends, movements and opportunities, providing clear commentary and recommendations • Prepare management reporting and presentations for senior management. • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and informed business decisions • Support month-end close including accruals, journals, reconciliations and variance commentary • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis including sales forecasts, cash flow analysis and inventory reporting • Partner with the CFO, Manager of Budget & Reporting and broader finance teams across financial analysis and reporting requirements • Validate financial data, investigate discrepancies and support financial controls and audit readiness • Support finance automation, system enhancements and future implementation projects • Contribute to longer-term financial planning and broader strategic finance initiatives Candidate Profile You are a native Japanese-speaking finance professional with experience across financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. An understanding of Japanese corporate culture and ways of working will be important, alongside strong analytical capability, attention to detail and intermediate to advanced Excel skills. You enjoy working across both financial analysis and reporting and are looking for an opportunity to broaden your exposure within a global organisation. CA/CPA qualifications or relevant tertiary studies will be advantageous but are not essential.
