Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant (6 months Renewable Contract) Position Type: Contract (Yearly Renewal) Location: Singapore Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant to manage our clients' day-to-day financial operations, risk assessment and support month-end closing procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the required technical knowledge with data automation skills, specifically using Python, to help streamline financial processes.

➡️ Key Responsibilities Core Accounting: Manage full spectrum daily transaction processing, including sales, purchases, cash flow, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) using double-entry accounting.

Reconciliations: Maintain and balance customer and supplier accounts while performing regular bank reconciliations. Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, post journal entries, and prepare account schedules.

Disbursements: Support the finance team in executing timely and accurate payment processing. Tax & Audit Compliance: Prepare documents for internal/external audits and assist with statutory tax submissions, including GST, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Corporate Tax.

Risk Management: Monitor risk and work closely with risk Manager I am monitoring the risk limits. Forex Management : Managing FX hedges and monitoring currency exposure. Treasury Management : Works with the bank to secure right facility and coordinate the same with group treasury on all the funding requirements. 🔎

Job Requirements

& Skills Education & Experience: Bachelors/Masters Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with at least 15 years of hands-on experience. Programming Skills: Technical proficiency in Python programming to automate data tasks, manipulate financial datasets, or improve accounting workflows.

Software Skills: Advanced competency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel. Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and clear comm
