Software Developer III (RPMS/MUMPS)

RESPEC is seeking a Software Developer III to support a federal IHS contract. This role is responsible for developing technical solutions for clinical applications using MUMPS/FileMan within the Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS).

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare information technology (HIT) and the ability to work effectively on a distributed team to solve complex software problems.

Responsibilities

Develops and recommends technical solutions to support client’s requirements in solving moderately complex software problems. Focus areas include analytical and engineering-based problem solving and solutions based on IHS standards and conventions (SAC).

include secure system engineering and development, utilizing technical and analytical skills. Designs test scenarios for the functional and regression testing of complex software solutions. Investigates and resolves software support tickets submitted by end users.

Required Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree computer science/systems, information systems/technology engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance degree from an accredited college or university.

This position requires eight years’ experience, of which at least six years must be specialized experience including the design and development of HIT systems. General experience includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
