About the Job We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Software Engineer to join the team on a full-time basis in our Sydney Office! In your day to day, you will: • Research, analyse and evaluate business requirements and technical specifications for software development. • Design, develop and implement high-quality software applications, modules, and system integrations. • Test, debug, and refine software to ensure it meets functional, performance, and security requirements. • Maintain and enhance existing software systems by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying upgrades. • Write and maintain technical documentation including specifications, test procedures, and user guides. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project managers, business analysts, engineers, and stakeholders) to deliver projects on time. • Apply software engineering best practices such as version control, code reviews, and design patterns. • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve development processes and business outcomes. • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, industry standards, and relevant regulatory requirements. • Provide technical advice, mentorship, and support to colleagues where required. About you • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline (required). • Experience: Minimum 1 years of professional experience in software engineering (preferred). Technical Skills: • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#. • Familiarity with frameworks, APIs, and cloud technologies. • Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases. • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Core Competencies: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and collaboration abilities. • High attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to work independently and within team environments.
