Oracle Exadata Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities : - Manage and maintain Oracle Exadata environments across development, testing, and production. - Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, administration, and upgrades. - Monitor database and Exadata infrastructure performance and ensure high availability. - Perform database performance tuning and SQL optimization. - Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and database maintenance activities. - Troubleshoot and resolve database, storage, and performance-related issues. - Manage Exadata components including Database Servers, Storage Cells, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure. - Configure and manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and related technologies. - Perform database patching, upgrades, and capacity planning. - Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance standards. - Monitor system health and proactively identify potential performance or capacity issues. - Support incident, problem, and change-management processes. - Prepare technical documentation and operational procedures. - Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Required Skills : - 8 - 10 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration. - Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata. - Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Data Guard. - Experience with Oracle database performance tuning and SQL optimization. - Strong knowledge of backup and recovery using RMAN. - Experience with database patching, upgrades, and migration activities. - Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Experience supporting large-scale production databases. Preferred Candidate Profile : - Proven experience managing mission-critical Oracle Exadata environments. - Experience with Exadata performance monitoring and optimization. - Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. - Strong understanding of database security and best practices. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
