Job Description
Job Title: Solutions Designer - Senior
Location: Toronto / Kingston
Work Model: Onsite
Duration: 6 months
Extension: 1 Time
Security Clearance: CRJMC
Must Haves
• Demonstrated experience as a technical design specialist expertly coordinating the design, develop and enhancement of complex large scale, high profile, high-risk technology solutions
• Experience utilizing cloud-based technologies including containerization, orchestration and microservices
• Working knowledge of standards for health care data exchange, in particular Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
• Experience in one or more languages: JavaScript ES6+, Spring Framework, Quarkus, Angular 9+, Angular Material, TypeScript, Node.JS, HTML5, CSS3
• Experience working with security architects and privacy SMEs to ensure the application design and physical deployment meet the required level of security and adhere to data privacy standards

Experience & Skill Set Requirements
Technical Skills 45 points
• Proven ability to lead development teams to work on the definition and design of application software, hardware and network requirements
• Experience overseeing the development of agreed-to solutions and implementation of those solutions, including designing, testing, installation and monitoring of the new systems
• Experience with automated build processes in the development environment through CI/CD
• Experience with Agile software development process and VSTS/Azure DevOPS
• Provide technical leadership skills with an ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
• Conduct performance tuning and recommend performance improvement solution
• Demonstrated ability to work with business analysts to translate the business requirements and functional specifications into an application design appropriate to meet the business and operational/IT needs
• Knowledge of best practices in design, build, development and deployment and their application to meet functional and non-functional requirements, adhering to GO-ITS standards and internal branch standards
• Experience working with architects providing consistent object, data model, interface and application models
• Experience producing low-level design/development artefacts that show sufficient detail to allow developers to code and test
• Experience working with infrastructure, operational, deployment and technical teams to define the physical deployment of the application
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the architecture team to create required architectural artifacts
• Working knowledge and experience with the MS Office suite, Visio and SharePoint.
