Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within large IT organizations, preferably in public sector or OPS environments. This role requires extensive experience in business analysis, facilitation of Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, and proficiency in creating detailed documentation such as user stories and business cases. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to outline problems, opportunities, and solutions, supporting project delivery through Agile, Waterfall, and iterative methodologies. Responsibilities: • Create detailed business analysis documents, user stories, and business cases. • Facilitate JAD sessions to gather and validate requirements. • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support testing activities. • Analyze and document project status, tracking resources, finances, progress, issues, and risks. • Collaborate with technical teams to contribute to policies, plans, procedures, standards, and guidelines. • Participate in governance working groups to recommend and implement architecture and operational best practices. • Negotiate functional design and solution details with business stakeholders. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to projects. • Apply knowledge of OPS I&IT processes, standards, and artifacts in project delivery. Required Skills & Certifications: • 8+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in large IT or OPS environments. • Experience facilitating JAD sessions and conducting UAT. • Proficiency in creating business analysis documentation, user stories, and business cases. • Strong knowledge of system capabilities related to court case management. • Excellent facilitation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and iterative project/product delivery methodologies. • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and formal SDLC methodologies. • Experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations is preferred. • Experience with Azure cloud technologies. Preferred Skills & Certifications: • Experience with user-centric website and forms design. • Familiarity with Figma, HTML, and CSS. • Experience contributing to technical policies, standards, and guidelines for integration frameworks. • Experience in product management and iterative Agile methodologies. Special Considerations: • Must be a team player with a strong track record of meeting deadlines. • Ability to work within strict governance and compliance frameworks typical of public sector environments. • May need to participate in governance meetings and cross-functional collaboration sessions. Scheduling: • Standard business hours with potential for additional meetings or sessions as required by project timelines. • Flexibility to support project needs and stakeholder availability.
