Principal Business Analyst

The role: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Principal Business Analyst will support the delivery of the Quality Information System (QiS2) Renewal Project by leading business analysis activities associated with the successful definition, design and implementation of the Quality Information System (QiS2) Renewal Project The role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Hospital and Health Services, General Practitioners, policy advisors, enterprise architecture teams, and clinical system vendors, to gather requirements, analyse current and future state processes, identify business impacts and support decision-making. Additionally, you will contribute to an effective customer focused team and work collaboratively to initiate, influence, and maintain relationships between internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: * Facilitate stakeholder consultation and workshops across multiple Hospital and Health Services and General Practices to understand current workflows, business practices and operational requirements. * Analyse current-state business processes and identify gaps, risks, dependencies and opportunities for alignment with policy and technical requirements. * Document business requirements, process maps, use cases and functional specifications to support project outcomes. * Work collaboratively with policy SMEs, enterprise architecture, digital health teams and vendors to assess solution options and compliance considerations. * Support impact assessments relating to changes in business process, policy adherence and technical integration pathways. * Contribute to project planning, scope management and change implementation activities. * Prepare high-quality documentation, reports, briefings and recommendations to support governance and executive decision-making. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to navigate complex policy, operational, clinical and technical environments to support the successful delivery of project outcomes. You will be highly organised, analytical and able to translate complex policy, operational and technical requirements into clear business documentation and recommendations. Experience working within digital health, healthcare policy, healthcare integration, government or regulated environments will be highly regarded, particularly where legislative compliance, governance and system interoperability are key considerations.
