Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. • 5 years of experience with two or more of the following: Web Technology, Data or Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, and SAP. • 5 years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues (e.g., hardware, software, application, operational, process). • Experience owning a full life-cycle of technical projects including design, development, maintenance, and implementing improvements. • Experience reading code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript) or in system design. Preferred qualifications: • 4 years of experience in technical consulting on supporting large enterprise customers with high service-level objective and service-level agreement requirements. • Experience with cloud computing (i.e., certifications, internships, coursework, etc.). • Experience developing backend applications or shell scripts. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively to discuss prioritization between organizations. In this role, you will help problem-solve at scale, troubleshooting issues globally by creating technology, operational processes, and policies. You will focus on resolving workflow execution blockers due to systems and software issues that arise across the supply chain software stack in the course of capacity fulfillment and enablement operations in Google data centers around the world. You will deliver solutions, the TSEs drive operational efficiency and cost-savings for Google Cloud. You will have a mature set of performance metrics and invest in a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will have a strong technical background that is an important component of the role as we support multiple backend systems with interdependencies. Responsibilities • Diagnose and troubleshoot data center blockers and stakeholder concerns to achieve swift resolution. • Design, improve, and iterate on internal tools, software, and automated frameworks to streamline the issue management life-cycle. • Create standardized technical playbooks and processes that enable the Google Server Operations team to manage and resolve issues autonomously. • Partner with Engineering and Server Operations stakeholders to investigate, identify, and fix the fundamental root causes of negative business outcomes. • Manage project schedules and timelines while fostering engagement with various cross-functional partners and providing essential business support by participating in weekend on-call duties or assigned work shift rotations.
