Product Manager, Transaction Risk Decisioning

The Trust & Safety team is tasked with keeping our members’ accounts safe, providing them uninterrupted access to their money, and minimizing the company’s risk exposure and fraud loss. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Transaction Risk Decisioning at Chime . This team builds the decisioning systems and product experiences that help Chime evaluate transaction risk in real time across card payments, peer-to-peer payments, bank transfers, and other money movement surfaces. The team partners closely with engineering, analytics, risk strategy, operations, and platform teams to reduce fraud, improve approval rates, and make risk outcomes clearer and more recoverable for members. For our members, this space is deeply personal. A risk decision can determine whether a card transaction goes through, whether money movement succeeds, whether a suspicious action is stopped in time, and whether a member feels protected or unfairly blocked. The best products in this area make safety visible without making everyday banking harder. They keep friction targeted to risky behavior, not normal behavior, and turn declines or interventions into understandable, recoverable experiences. What this team owns This is a high-leverage role at the intersection of risk, growth, trust, and product quality. The team owns outbound transaction risk across card authorization, ACH, peer-to-peer, outbound transfers, and related surfaces — protecting a large share of Chime's revenue while minimizing fraud and disputes and enabling healthy growth.
