Technical Business Analyst ERP Data Migration Job Type: Contract / Possible 3-Month CTH Location: Vancouver, BC Onsite Start Date: Immediate Duration: Minimum 1 Year, with Extension Potential Background Check: Mandatory Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst ERP Data Migration to support data readiness and migration activities for a large-scale ERP implementation. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience supporting multiple SAP implementations specifically on the migration side , strong knowledge of SAP tables , and experience working with other ERP platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics. The role will focus on data profiling, extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, loading, and validation while working closely with business, data, technical, and third-party teams. Key Responsibilities • Support end-to-end ERP data migration and data readiness activities across multiple business domains. • Work closely with data stewards, business users, product owners, developers, and technical teams to define and execute migration activities. • Support ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from legacy ERP systems into the target ERP. • Provide hands-on support with Syniti ADMM or similar migration/ETL tools, including configuration, data loads, and validation. • Analyze SAP tables and source data structures to support extraction, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation. • Perform data profiling, cleansing, mapping, validation, and quality assessments. • Identify data gaps, discrepancies, and quality issues and coordinate remediation with data stewards and technical teams. • Develop and validate transformation rules to ensure legacy data meets target ERP requirements. • Coordinate migration schedules, dependencies, milestones, and data readiness activities across business teams. • Support SIT/UAT , including data validation and resolution of migration-related defects. • Facilitate UAT sessions and ensure migrated data meets business requirements. • Maintain migration documentation, data mapping specifications, validation results, and process documentation. • Support training materials, user guides, change management, and release activities related to data migration. • Collaborate with third-party vendors and migration teams to ensure data integrity and successful migration execution. • Ensure migration activities follow applicable safety, environmental, change management, and governance requirements . Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in ERP data migration, data readiness, technical business analysis, or related roles. • Mandatory: Experience with multiple SAP implementations, specifically on the data migration side. • Strong working knowledge of SAP tables and data structures . • Experience working with multiple ERP platforms , such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. • Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, loading, and validation . • Experience with Syniti ADMM or similar ETL/data migration tools . • Strong data profiling and data quality management experience. • Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations across multiple business domains. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data volumes. • Experience supporting SIT/UAT and data reconciliation activities. • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office/O365 skills. • Experience with ERP change management and release management processes. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite ERP implementation environment. Education • University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems , or a related technical discipline. Preferred • Experience in mining, manufacturing, utilities, or other complex asset-intensive industries . • Spanish language skills are an asset. • Experience with SharePoint/O365. • Strong experience coordinating business and technical migration teams.
