Job Title: Technical Manager Finance Modules Location: Chennai, India (Work From Office) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Experience Required: 1012 Years Role Summary: Anoud Technologies, a product-based software company serving the global Insurance industry, is looking for a Technical Manager Finance to lead the design, development, and delivery of finance modules within our product suite. You will manage a high-performing engineering team, own technical solutioning for finance-related product features, and partner closely with business and client stakeholders to build scalable, compliant, and high-performing financial systems for insurance clients. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of 1015 engineers building and enhancing finance product modules for insurance clients. - Own end-to-end technical delivery across multiple concurrent client engagements, ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes. - Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and finance SMEs to translate requirements into scalable technical designs. - Architect and guide solutions built on Oracle PL/SQL, Java, and microservices for finance/insurance workflows such as billing, claims-finance, premium accounting, GL, and reconciliation. - Drive product innovation by identifying opportunities for automation, improved reporting, and new capabilities. - Oversee data modelling, integration design, and scalability of financial data pipelines. - Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as the technical point of escalation. - Champion engineering best practices code quality, CI/CD, testing, performance, and security. - Contribute technical and functional finance inputs to pre-sales and solutioning discussions as needed. Technical Skills: - Oracle PL/SQL (advanced) with strong SQL query design and performance tuning - Java / J2EE, Microservices architecture, REST APIs - Data modelling, database design, and integration/ETL patterns - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus - CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum delivery practices Functional Finance Skills: - Strong understanding of core finance processes General Ledger, AP/AR, reconciliation, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting - Insurance finance concepts such as premium accounting, claims reserves, commissions, and regulatory reporting (preferred) - Exposure to ERP/finance systems (SAP, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) - Understanding of financial controls, audit, and compliance requirements Preferred Skills: - Experience in a product-based software company (as opposed to pure IT services) - Prior experience with insurance domain clients (P&C, Life, or Health) - PMP and/or Scrum/Agile certification - Experience with financial systems implementation or transformation projects Education: - B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering discipline (mandatory) - MBA Finance, M.Com, or CA-Inter/equivalent finance qualification (added advantage) Why Join Anoud Technologies: - Work on cutting-edge finance products serving global insurance clients - Be part of a fast-growing product company with real ownership and visible impact - Collaborative, engineering-first culture with strong learning and growth paths - Competitive compensation and benefits with direct leadership visibility
