Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games. We're looking for a Product Designer to join Growth at Discord and help shape how people find Discord, get set up, and stay connected over time. Growth sits at the front door of our consumer org. We're responsible for how Discord shows up in the world — how new people discover us, how they land and get started, and how existing users stay close to the conversations and communities they care about. It's a broad, fast-moving surface area, and design plays a central role in making each of those moments feel unmistakably like Discord. This role spans the full breadth of what Growth owns: Notifications — helping users stay connected to what they care about, even when they're away. We're making notifications more intelligent, trusted, and effective: reaching people at the right moments, coordinating delivery thoughtfully, and giving users real control over their experience. Off-platform — how Discord shows up beyond the app itself, across embeds, links, invites, web pages, and text messages. These are often someone's first impression of Discord, and there's a lot of room to make them better. Onboarding — rethinking how new users arrive, understand what Discord is, and find their footing in those first few minutes.
