Manager/Senior Associate - Investment Consulting & Modernization/Transformation

Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end investment lifecycle transformation initiatives, applying consulting methodologies to diagnose business challenges, translate requirements, and design scalable operating and technology solutions across investment accounting, private markets, fund administration, and trust operations. - Apply deep consulting acumen to identify business value and drive adoption of data-centric strategies across investment operations. - Partner with technical teams to evaluate solution architectures and implementation approaches, applying business judgment to balance technical sophistication, operational feasibility, cost, and client business priorities. - Manage investment operations transformation initiatives (cloud migration, system modernization, process redesign) across complex stakeholder environments, leading client engagement, managing scope/timelines, and ensuring business value delivery. - Develop operational controls, data quality frameworks, and process governance solutions that address client investment operations challenges; provide consulting thought leadership on best practices in fund accounting, trade settlement, and data stewardship. - Lead system selection, business case development, and implementation planning for investment operations software (e.g., fund accounting, trading platforms); advise clients on vendor evaluation, ROI analysis, and implementation strategy. - Develop business process and user acceptance testing strategies; partner with clients on operational validation to ensure systems meet investment operations requirements and achieve business outcomes. - Translate business requirements across investment operations, finance, and technology functions; develop requirements specifications, success criteria, and executive communications that align stakeholders. - Evaluate and advise on emerging technologies and AI capabilities that can enhance client investment operationsincluding data analytics, automation, and generative AI tools to drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Qualifications: - Demonstrated consulting mindset: Ability to diagnose complex business challenges, develop creative solutions, and communicate value to senior stakeholders. - Deep investment operations domain expertise: 4+ years working in investment accounting, fund administration, private credit, or trading operations at financial institutions or consulting firms. - Practical understanding of investment operations systems and technologies (e.g., fund accounting platforms, trading systems, ETL/reporting); ability to assess system capabilities and requirements from a business perspective. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: Ability to influence across business, operations, and technology functions; comfort presenting strategic insights to C-level executives. - Proven track record delivering successful client engagements and investment operations transformation initiatives; strong project/program management and stakeholder management experience. - Working knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.); understanding of cloud migration strategy, benefits, and trade-offs for investment operations systems. - Experience leading teams through complex system implementations and change management. - Strategic approach to investment operations system design: Including business requirements, operational controls, scalability, and risk mitigation. - Experience developing operational process designs, data requirements, and system implementation strategies; ability to balance between technical elegance and business pragmatism. - Leadership experience managing client engagements and building strong client partnerships. - Proven ability to build and manage trusted client relationships as a strategic advisor; experience defining consulting approaches and building long-term value partnerships. - Demonstrated expertise in program/project management, business case development, ROI analysis, and organizational change management at the executive level. - Working knowledge of system integration approaches, data flows, and operational architecture for investment operations systems and system integration technologies needed for investment operations modernization. Education: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field. - MBA or advanced finance/business certification strongly preferred.
