Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing/Industrial) / West

Our client is an established player in the advanced manufacturing industry, specialising in innovative solutions for various industrial applications. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West area.

Job Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions and minimise unexpected breakdowns. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and basic electro-mechanical faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective measures.

Carry out machine setup, adjustment and fine-tuning to ensure equipment operates according to production specifications and requirements. Perform equipment calibration and precision adjustments to maintain operational accuracy, consistency and product quality.

Participate in the installation, commissioning and integration of new machinery and production equipment, ensuring proper assembly, alignment and functionality. Conduct equipment testing, trial runs and performance validation to ensure machinery meets operational and production requirements.

Identify opportunities for equipment modifications, upgrades and enhancements to improve machine performance, reliability and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimise equipment downtime, reduce production defects and enhance overall manufacturing productivity.

Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers and service providers on equipment maintenance, repairs, servicing and installation works. Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation and equipment logs while ensuring compliance with workplace safety and quality standards.
