About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer – CAD & Engineering Support, you’ll produce high-quality mechanical models, drawings, and engineering documentation across Focused Energy’s projects.

This is a hands-on role focused on translating design intent into accurate, well-structured CAD outputs that support manufacture, supplier engagement, assembly, and project delivery.

You’ll work across a range of technically demanding systems, including laser systems, vacuum equipment, diagnostic mounting structures, and facility mechanical infrastructure.

Working closely with senior mechanical engineers and multidisciplinary project teams, you’ll provide practical design support while helping maintain consistent CAD standards, drawing conventions, and engineering documentation across the team.

What You’ll Do Develop detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor or an equivalent 3D CAD tool. Produce manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, layout models, parts lists, BOMs, and drawing registers to a high engineering standard.

Maintain and update CAD models and associated documentation as designs evolve throughout the project lifecycle. Support the design and development of mechanical systems such as vacuum chambers, laser system integration, diagnostic structures, and facility infrastructure.
