This opportunity is ideal for Accounting, Finance or Commerce students and recent graduates looking to gain practical Australian industry experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations and accounting software . Key Learning Activities • Gain exposure to bookkeeping and general accounting procedures • Assist with bank reconciliations and financial record-keeping under supervision • Learn about accounts payable and accounts receivable processes • Support the preparation of financial reports and working papers • Gain exposure to BAS, GST and Australian taxation procedures • Develop practical skills using Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks • Assist with financial data entry and documentation • Learn about Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements • Participate in supervised accounting and finance projects Skills & Requirements • Currently studying or recently completed Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related qualification • Basic understanding of accounting principles • Good Microsoft Excel skills • Familiarity with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks is advantageous • Strong numerical and analytical skills • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities • Good written and verbal communication skills • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn Previous accounting experience is advantageous but not essential .
