IntelliMatch Implementation Consultant (Financial Services) Location : Sydney, Australia (hybrid: in the office Tuesday and Thursday) Highly competitive; package open to discussion Employment type : Subcontract (12 months) or permanent (FTE) Prefer Immediately Joiner Industry : Financial reconciliation, capital markets, investment banking and asset management About the Opportunity We are looking for an experienced IntelliMatch Consultant in Sydney on behalf of our client, (IT Services Company) to lead complex reconciliation transformation programs for global financial clients . You will own solution design, implementation, platform upgrades and production support, advise clients on reconciliation best practice, and mentor junior consultants while driving operational excellence. Why This Role Stands Out • Flexible engagement: 12-month subcontract or permanent with Client • Highly competitive compensation package, open to discussion • Lead reconciliation transformation programs for global financial clients • Technical leadership with ownership from solution design to production support • Opportunity to mentor and shape a growing consultant team • Hybrid working: only two days a week in the Sydney office Key Responsibilities IntelliMatch solution delivery • Lead end-to-end implementation and onboarding of new reconciliations across financial products and business units. • Design, configure and maintain solutions across the IntelliMatch modules: Recollector, Administrator, Reconciliation Manager, Security Administration and Scheduler. • Drive reconciliation transformation and automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency. • Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable reconciliation solutions. Client engagement and consulting • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners and client teams to gather requirements and define reconciliation strategy. • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for reconciliation processes and IntelliMatch capabilities. • Run solution walkthroughs, client workshops, training sessions and knowledge transfer. • Build strong client relationships and advise on reconciliation best practice. Technical leadership • Lead platform installations, upgrades, migrations and environment management. • Review solutions and ensure adherence to architecture and development standards. • Mentor junior and mid-level consultants. • Contribute to project planning, estimation and governance. Testing and quality assurance • Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing and production validation. • Ensure defect-free releases and platform stability. • Develop test strategies and test cases for reconciliation implementations. Database and automation • Write and optimise complex SQL queries, procedures and views, including performance tuning. • Design automated reconciliation processes and reporting solutions. • Support integration with upstream and downstream systems. Production support • Troubleshoot complex reconciliation breaks and production incidents. • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions. • Meet SLAs and operational governance standards. Key Requirements Core IntelliMatch • Hands-on IntelliMatch experience across Recollector, Administrator, the Reconciliation module, Scheduler and Security Management. • Experience on implementation, migration, enhancement and support projects. Technical • Advanced SQL development in Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or PostgreSQL. • Database design and performance tuning. • Unix/Linux scripting. • ETL and data processing concepts. • Application deployment and environment management. • Match-rule configuration; upgrade or migration work; experience with the cloud or managed-service version of the product. Domain knowledge • Cash, nostro, securities, general ledger, position and trade reconciliation. • Financial services and capital markets expertise. • Understanding of investment banking and asset management operations. Project delivery • Experience in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models. • Strong stakeholder management and governance experience. Preferred Experience: IntelliMatch is the primary requirement. Candidates from comparable reconciliation platforms, in order of closeness, are also considered: Finance and month-end close focus; suits functional finance roles, not technical ones Functional profile: nostro/cash, securities, custody or intercompany reconciliation; designed match rules, exception workflows and SLA/control reporting; familiarity with SWIFT statement formats (MT940/950, camt.053).
