: Senior Manager - R&D, Silicone Sealants Experience: 5+ years Department: Research & Development Reports to: Head of R&D / Technical Director Role Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager to lead research and development of silicone sealants. The role will oversee product formulation, testing, scale-up, and technical support, while ensuring products meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and improvement of silicone sealant formulations and product technologies. - Plan and manage R&D projects from concept through laboratory development, pilot trials, and commercial launch. - Evaluate raw materials, suppliers, and alternative technologies for performance, cost, and reliability. - Establish testing protocols and assess properties such as adhesion, curing, flexibility, durability, and weather resistance. - Troubleshoot formulation, manufacturing, and field-performance issues; recommend corrective actions. - Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing to support product launches and customer requirements. - Guide plant-scale trials and ensure successful transfer of formulations and processes to manufacturing. - Maintain technical documentation, specifications, test reports, and product records. - Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. - Mentor R&D team members and manage laboratory resources, priorities, and project timelines. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field. - At least 5 years of relevant experience in R&D, product development, or technical service for silicone sealants or related materials. - Strong understanding of silicone chemistry, sealant formulation, curing mechanisms, and performance testing. - Experience with laboratory formulation, analytical testing, scale-up, and manufacturing troubleshooting. - Demonstrated project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with construction, industrial, automotive, or specialty silicone sealants. - Familiarity with relevant industry standards and product compliance requirements. - Experience supporting customers, conducting field investigations, or resolving application issues.
