Zoomies - AI Creative Lead

About the Company: Zoomies is a Pune-based, clean-label pet nutrition brand founded in September 2025 by Sumedh Battewar (ex-Co-founder & CBO, EMotorad) and Spriha Choubey. We make complete meals for cats and dogs from 100% real, human-grade meat, with no additives, preservatives or synthetic supplements. Our mission is to make clean pet nutrition affordable and mainstream in India, not a niche premium. We raised a ₹5 Cr pre-seed round led by D2C Insider Super Angels, with angels including Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini (Unacademy) and Puneet Gupta (Astrotalk). A big part of that capital goes into brand-building, influencer-led campaigns and our own content IPs. About the Role: We are building an in-house AI Video Team from scratch, and you are the first hire. As AI Creative Lead, you will own the creative vision, workflow and output of every AI-generated video Zoomies puts out: ads, social content and our character-led IPs (Bribe, and Meowfia in phase 2). You will sit between the Content and Performance teams, turning brand ideas and ad briefs into high-volume, on-brand AI video. You will hire and lead the AI video artists, set up the tool stack, and build a production system that ships fast without losing quality. Key Responsibilities: - Own the creative direction for all AI video: concepts, scripts, storyboards, visual style and character consistency across IPs. - Build and run the AI production pipeline end-to-end: ideation - image/video generation - edit - voice and sound - final delivery. - Hire, mentor and manage 2 AI Video Artists; review their work daily and raise the quality bar. - Work with the Performance team to produce ad variations at scale (hooks, formats, aspect ratios) and iterate based on CTR, hook rate and ROAS. - Work with the Content team on organic content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts and other social platforms. - Develop Bribe and Meowfia as recurring character IPs: define their look, personality, world and episode formats. - Choose, test and manage the AI tool stack and subscriptions; keep track of new models and adopt what works. - Manage the shared Editor/Finisher and freelance voice and sound artists; set timelines and handoffs. - Set up brand guidelines, prompt libraries and reusable asset banks for AI content. - Present work to the Brand/Marketing Head for final sign-off; own deadlines and output volume. - Make sure all content follows platform ad policies, food-advertising norms and responsible AI-content practices. Must Have: - 5+ years in video, motion design, animation or creative direction, with at least 1 - 2 years of hands-on generative AI video work. - A strong portfolio of AI-generated videos (ads, short films or character content) that you directed or made yourself. - Deep hands-on knowledge of AI video and image tools such as Runway, Kling, Google Veo, Sora, Midjourney, Higgsfield or similar. - Ability to keep characters and style consistent across many videos. - Strong storytelling, scripting and storyboarding skills for short-form video (15 - 60 seconds). - Working knowledge of editing in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut. - Experience leading or mentoring a small creative team and managing freelancers. - Understanding of what works on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Meta ads. - Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup with high output targets. Good to Have: - Experience with ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion workflows, LoRA training or other custom model setups. - Experience with AI voice and music tools such as ElevenLabs or Suno. - Background in D2C, FMCG or consumer brand marketing. - Experience building an animated or character-led IP or content series. - Basic understanding of ad performance metrics (hook rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS). - A love for pets, especially cats and dogs. - Knowledge of Hindi and regional-language content for Indian audience.
