The Client Our client is a long-standing client of Agricultural Appointments and a respected Australian distributor of chemicals, equipment and technical solutions to the professional pest management industry. The business has built a strong reputation for quality products, reliable service and sound technical advice, supported by a sales and distribution network across every mainland capital city. Role This is an exciting national opportunity for a commercially minded Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of growth. You will develop new markets, expand key accounts and build strategic partnerships across government mosquito and vector management, professional pest management, online retail, agriculture and specialist distribution. With a diverse portfolio spanning pesticides, monitoring and tracking systems, insect light traps and rodent management products, you will have the scope to turn customer needs into new business. You will work with the national branch network while enjoying the autonomy to build your own relationships and sales opportunities. Responsibilities • Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities to deliver sustainable, profitable growth. • Build relationships with councils, government agencies and contractors involved in mosquito and vector management programs. • Grow national key accounts and reseller, online retail and distribution channels. • Identify new markets, applications and opportunities for existing and new products. • Develop sales plans, forecasts and account strategies; contribute to product launches and marketing campaigns. • Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events, collaborating with internal teams and travelling nationally as required. Requirements • Proven experience in business development, B2B or technical sales, or key account management. • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and a track record of building relationships and growing sales. • Knowledge of pest management, pesticides or monitoring and control technologies; relevant experience in agriculture, agricultural chemicals or equipment, rural merchandise or environmental health will also be valued. • Confident communication and presentation skills, initiative and the ability to work autonomously within a national team. • A science, environmental, agricultural or related technical qualification is advantageous. Government mosquito management, vector control, tenders or procurement experience is highly regarded. Remuneration & Location Preferred location is Brisbane, with hybrid flexibility and national travel. Remuneration is very attractive including an excellent salary, superannuation, car and bonus (up to 20% of salary). How to Apply Please apply online via SEEK with your CV and a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and commercial achievements. For a confidential discussion, contact Dr Ray Johnson, Lead Agribusiness Recruitment Consultant and Managing Director, Agricultural Appointments, on 0419 012 841 or ray@agri.com.au.
