L2 Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Network Engineer L2 Experience : 4 - 6 Years Location : Chennai Role : Network Engineer L2 We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer L2 to manage, troubleshoot, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in network operations, troubleshooting, and incident management. Key Responsibilities : - Monitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. - Troubleshoot L2/L3 network issues and resolve incidents within SLA. - Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices. - Handle network incidents, service requests, and change requests. - Perform network monitoring, performance analysis, and issue resolution. - Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing - related issues. - Work with NOC, infrastructure, security, and application teams for issue resolution. - Perform network configuration, upgrades, and maintenance activities. - Maintain network documentation and incident reports. - Participate in planned maintenance and support activities. Required Skills : - 4 - 6 years of experience in Network Engineering / Network Operations. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP. - Hands - on experience with Cisco routers and switches. - Good understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP. - Experience in network troubleshooting and incident management. - Knowledge of network monitoring tools. - Understanding of firewalls and network security concepts. - Good communication and problem - solving skills. - CCNA/CCNP certification will be an added advantage.
