Cyber Security Engineer

Role The Cyber Security Engineer willsupport and manage all aspectsofcyber security for large scale turnkeysystem integration (SI) telecoms projectsacross the world.

Working in collaboration with the projects group to ensure effective delivery of projects and services to customers Key responsibilities Provide Cyber Security support forturnkeysystem integration (SI)telecoms projects Support and manage the security design, implementation and testing of telecoms systems Preperation of security documentation, security specifications,test procedures, network drawings, asset inventories, self assessments, and provideinput or peer review of other project documents Liase with suppliers and third parties to ensure that customer requirements are met Travel and atted client meetings,review meetings,vendorsystem FATsas required Conducting security testing(network/port scanning, vulnerability scanning, network stress testing) Knowledge of industry standard Risk Assessment approaches such as NIST 800-30 Knowledge of industry standards such as NIST CSF, NIST RMF, ISO 27000, IEC 62443 Experienceconfiguring and securingWindowsOS, LinuxOS, Network Equipment (Switches, Routers, Firewalls), and embedded devices Comprehensive understanding of Technical, Administrative and Physical controls to safeguarddata and systems Ability to drive assessments through interviews and relationships to understand and quantify appropriate risks Research general and industry specificsecuritytrends Stay up to date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities Ability to clearly communicate security requirements toproject teams and vendors Supportproject teams withvarious tasks if needed, for example networkingandsystems Provide support to bids team for proposals Provide support to wider security team as and when required Qualifications & Experience Education IT related degree or equivalent Cyber security certificationssuch as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, Security+, CEH Experience At least5years of experience in information technologysupporting networks and systems Experience of working on industrial projects(oil and gas, manufacturing, renewables, etc) Experience with Telecoms systems(PAGA, CCTV, ACS, Radio, LAN, WAN, IDS, etc) Key Competencies Effective communication skills enabling the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences both verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish trust with partners through demonstration of knowledge and commitment to security. Understanding of the role of theinformation securityprogram in the securing of an organisation.

Strong knowledge and understanding of the role of technical, administrative and physical controls in securing information. Confidence to recommend changes and improvements to the security program. Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously.
