QA Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in testing frontend, backend systems, PostgreSQL, and ensuring dataflow and report consistency. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing API testing, including load and stress tests. You will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and functionally sound. Key Responsibilities : • Conduct thorough testing of frontend and backend components to ensure alignment with design specifications and functionality requirements. • Perform comprehensive PostgreSQL testing, including database integrity checks, query performance analysis, and ensuring data consistency. • Validate dataflow across systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in real-time or batch processing pipelines. • Test the consistency of reports generated from databases, ensuring they reflect the correct, up-to-date data from the underlying systems. • Design and execute API testing for both functionality and performance (load, stress, and scalability tests). • Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for frontend, backend, and API testing. • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity in requirements and testing coverage. • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as Jira, and work closely with the development team for prompt resolution. • Ensure that all testing results meet the highest quality standards and are aligned with project deadlines. • Provide insights and suggestions for improvements in the testing process and tools Required Skills & Experience : • 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with hands-on experience testing frontend and backend applications. • Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including writing SQL queries to validate data and performance. • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter for functional, load, and stress testing. • Familiarity with load and stress testing methodologies to validate system performance under varying conditions. • Experience testing data pipelines and ensuring dataflow consistency across ETL processes and distributed systems. • Strong understanding of data validation, report consistency, and how data should move accurately through multiple systems. • Experience with backend testing, including working with RESTful APIs and validating request/response cycles. • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues in a complex system. • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have: ● Experience with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes. ● Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB in addition to relational databases. ● Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for testing cloud-based applications. ● Experience with performance monitoring tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, or Grafana. ● Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or TestCafe for frontend testing. Qualifications: ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). ● Proven track record in testing web applications, data pipelines, and APIs.
