Senior Recruitment Consultant - Supply Chain & Logistics

Our client, a well-respected recruitment consultancy based in East London, Eastern Cape , is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead its Supply Chain and Logistics division. This role is crucial for supporting businesses that rely heavily on efficient operations and distribution. You will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, from identifying the unique needs of clients in this sector to sourcing, screening, and placing top talent in roles such as Supply Chain Managers, Logistics Coordinators, Warehouse Supervisors, and Procurement Specialists. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the supply chain and logistics market, strong client management skills, and a dedication to service excellence. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for Supply Chain and Logistics positions across various levels. • Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates, utilizing industry networks, job boards, and specialized platforms. • Conduct comprehensive candidate screening, including interviews and skills assessments, to evaluate experience and fit for client requirements. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at companies within the supply chain and logistics domain. • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and talent pool dynamics within the supply chain and logistics sectors. • Provide expert recruitment advice and market intelligence to clients. • Achieve and exceed agreed-upon recruitment targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle. • Collaborate with team members to share market insights and best practices. • Assist in business development efforts to expand the client base in Supply Chain and Logistics. Requirements • A minimum of 4 years of recruitment experience, with a significant focus on Supply Chain and Logistics roles. • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and placing professionals in areas such as procurement, warehousing, transportation, and operations management. • Solid understanding of the supply chain and logistics market, including key functions and required skills. • Excellent interviewing, communication, and negotiation skills. • Proficiency in using recruitment software, online sourcing tools, and professional networking platforms. • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. • A proactive, results-driven approach with a commitment to excellence. • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly grasp client business needs. • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, HR, or a related field is advantageous. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and solutions.
