This is a remote position. Overview PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic & Wellness Center is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Research student in a Doctorate program (e. g. DNP, Ph. D.

, MD, DO, PharmD, or equivalent) to join our team for a remote internship focused on understanding the complex facets of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

This internship is specifically designed for a researcher interested in women’s health and endocrinology, with a strong commitment to addressing the clinical and psychosocial challenges faced by individuals with PCOS. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr.

Lynsey Johnson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, on research projects, contribute to new study design and execution, and receive mentorship aimed at developing an independent research career in this field. *This program is online with collaborative meetings over zoom.

Key Research Areas The residency offers exposure and involvement in several key research areas, including but not limited to: Metabolic and Cardiovascular Risk: Investigating the links between PCOS, insulin resistance, obesity, and long-term cardiovascular health.

Reproductive and Endocrine Function: Studying the mechanisms underlying anovulation, hyperandrogenism, and hirsutism in diverse populations with PCOS. Psychosocial Impact and Quality of Life: Assessing the mental health burden (e. g.

, anxiety, depression, body image issues) and developing interventions to improve the quality of life for women with PCOS. Novel Diagnostic and Therapeutic Approaches: Exploring the efficacy of new pharmacological, nutritional, or lifestyle interventions for managing PCOS symptoms.

Genetic and Epigenetic Factors: Contributing to studies investigating the underlying biological risk factors associated with the syndrome.
