Electrical Engineer

They believe in building and setting a reputable culture, recognising, and rewarding their people who represent those core values either onsite, with clients, or in the local communities.  About this role As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll take ownership and play a key role in leading end-to-end electrical design packages, driving quality outcomes, and shaping projects from concept through to delivery. This position is suited to an experienced engineer who thrives in a hands-on technical leadership role comfortable managing client relationships, mentoring engineers and taking full accountability for design decisions on major projects. With a strong pipeline of large-scale work, you’ll be contributing across diverse environments including operational sites, brownfield upgrades and essential infrastructure, where practical design and real-world constructability matter. • Prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, reports, specifications and schedules. • Undertake design of LV power distribution, main switchboards, distribution boards, lighting, emergency lighting, communications, security, fire detection, cable containment, earthing and lightning protection systems. • Undertake or support medium voltage design for 11kV, 22kV and 33kV systems, including reticulation, switchgear, transformers, earthing and protection interfaces (Where candidates are not confident in MV design, they will be trained and upskilled to assist on these projects). • Manage and mentor an overseas design team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different time zones. • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. • Coordinate with project managers to ensure design deliverables are aligned with project schedules and budgets. • Participate in client meetings and design reviews, presenting technical information clearly and confidently How you can support and be part of the CoMade Engineering team • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred. • Minimum of 7 + years of experience in LV design. • Experience in leading and managing a design team, preferably with international team management experience. • Strong understanding of relevant standards and regulations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
