About Fulfillment IQ (FIQ):
Fulfillment IQ is a supply chain engineering and transformation company that helps brands, retailers, and 3PLs design, build, and scale high-performance logistics operations.
We work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology where we solve complex, real-world problems across warehouse design, automation, order management, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain execution.
Our teams combine deep domain expertise with strong technical capability, delivering outcomes through consulting, systems implementation, and proprietary platforms that accelerate time-to-value and reduce delivery risk.
Role Overview:
The Linux System and Hardware Administrator is the hands-on owner of day-to-day operations for Fulfillment IQ’s Linux servers and for the laptops and hardware used by our India-based team. The role sits in the Corporate Technology team within FIQ Group Shared Services, which supports both our services and product businesses. You will run routine server administration, set up and recover devices across Linux, Windows, and macOS, and resolve support tickets, working from the runbooks, policies, and security controls set by the Head of Corporate Technology and alongside colleagues based mainly in Canada.
Mandate:
• Keep laptops and hardware for India-based staff set up, tracked, and working
• Handle routine Linux server administration using defined runbooks
• Resolve support tickets quickly and escalate what you cannot fix with clear notes
• Keep documentation, asset records, and ticket history accurate
Must-Have Qualifications:
• 3 to 5 years of system administration experience, including hands-on hardware and end-user support
• Strong Linux administration from the command line (Ubuntu or RHEL family): users and permissions, file systems, services, packages, and logs. Linux is non-negotiable for this role
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting web servers (Apache or Nginx) on Linux, with Bash scripting for routine tasks
• Comfort working across Windows 11 and macOS alongside Linux. Strong Linux plus one of the other two is acceptable
• Experience administering a directory and identity platform, such as Microsoft 365 and Entra ID or an on-premise Windows Active Directory domain
• Hardware troubleshooting and component replacement, plus networking fundamentals: IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN
Nice to Have:
• Active Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification. Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) is a strong advantage
• An active Linux certification, such as CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or LFCS
• Microsoft Intune administration (device enrolment, compliance policies, app deployment)
• Exposure to DevOps tooling such as Docker, cloud virtual machines (Azure or AWS), or CI/CD runners
• PowerShell or Python scripting
• Any certification listed on your resume must be active.
• Successful candidates who do not yet hold AZ-104 and AZ-305 will be expected to complete both after joining.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware & Device Support
• Set up, image, and configure Windows 11 laptops and Mac devices for new joiners, and enrol them in device management
• Collect, wipe, and reissue devices from leavers within agreed timelines
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs and warranty claims with OEMs and local vendors
• Maintain the asset register for every device, linked to the employee it is assigned to
• Support Bengaluru office equipment, including network devices, Wi-Fi, printers, and meeting room technology
Linux System Administration
• Perform routine Linux server administration: user accounts, permissions, service restarts, disk space, and log checks
• Apply OS updates and patches following the schedule and runbooks set by Corporate Technology
• Monitor server health alerts and escalate issues to senior team members with clear notes
• Run scheduled backup checks and report any failures
User Support
• Respond to and resolve support tickets for hardware, software, accounts, and access
• Support Microsoft 365 account setup, password resets, and MFA enrolment
• Escalate issues you cannot resolve to the right owner in Corporate Technology or DevOps, with the steps already taken
• Give staff practical guidance on using their devices safely
Security & Compliance
• Confirm endpoint protection, disk encryption, and required updates are active on every device
• Follow the access, device, and data handling policies set by Corporate Technology
• Report suspected security incidents immediately
• Support license and subscription tracking by assigning and reclaiming seats for joiners and leavers
Documentation & Improvement
• Keep tickets, asset records, and runbooks current
• Document recurring issues and their fixes so the team can resolve them faster next time
• Write simple scripts to automate repetitive tasks, reviewed by senior team members
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days:
30 Days In
• Learn FIQ’s systems, tools, ticketing process, and runbooks
• Set up devices for new joiners independently
• Reconcile the India asset register against active headcount
• Build working relationships with the Corporate Technology and DevOps teams
60 Days In
• Resolve support tickets within agreed response and resolution times
• Handle routine Linux administration and patching independently using runbooks
• Own joiner and leaver device workflows from start to finish
90 Days In
• Be the go-to contact for hardware and device support in India
• Add runbook entries for the most common recurring issues
• Deliver at least one script that removes a manual step from a routine task
Key Performance Indicators:
• Ticket response and resolution times
• New joiner devices ready on Day 1, and leaver devices recovered on time
• Asset register accuracy
• Patch compliance on assigned servers and devices
• Internal customer satisfaction
Interview Process:
• Screening call with our Talent Acquisition team
• A 90-minute in-person technical assessment at our Bengaluru office with the Head of Corporate Technology. The first part is scenario-based Q&A. The second part is hands-on at a computer: you will work in a Linux environment, set up a web server, and troubleshoot basic operations on that server, and you will be questioned on networking and typical hardware issues
