National Service Manager

O ur Client Our client is a major China-based machinery manufacturer with a strong position in its home market and an expanding international business. Its established range spans concrete machinery, lifting equipment, earthmoving machinery and aerial work platforms, with further growth in mining and agricultural machinery. The company has built overseas markets across Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Russia and is now developing its Australian operation. This is an opportunity to join a global equipment business and help build the dealer service capability and customer support behind its next stage of growth. Role As National Service Manager, you will strengthen after-sales support across Australia. You will assess dealer service capability, train and coach service teams, set service expectations and review performance. When complex equipment failures or customer complaints arise, you will coordinate dealers and global technical resources to get the right people working on the problem and drive it through to resolution. You will also help dealers plan spare-parts inventory, monitor service trends, and feed real-world information on product quality, operating conditions and breakdowns back to product and engineering teams. This is a hands-on national role with frequent field travel and the chance to shape the development of the service function in Australia. Requirements • At least five years in after-sales or service management, including three or more years in agricultural or construction machinery. • Experience managing dealer service systems and delivering practical technical training. • Strong troubleshooting and coordination skills, including handling complex field cases and customer escalations. • Knowledge of farm machinery operating conditions and common failure issues, with strong communication and analytical skills. • Current Australian working rights and willingness to travel frequently across the country. • Dealer and large farm service networks, multinational OEM experience and cross-cultural or overseas work experience will be well regarded. Remuneration and Location Australia-based, with the base location to be agreed and frequent travel to dealers and customer sites nationwide.
