Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Summary: The Senior Full Stack Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable web-based applications and data pipelines. This role requires expertise across the full software development lifecycle, including front-end and back-end development, API integration, database design, and DevOps practices. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with accessibility and security standards. Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and expand data pipelines through ETL processes. • Translate technical specifications into tested, maintainable applications. • Develop, test, debug, and document software components and systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during software operation and deployment. • Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the software development lifecycle. • Design and implement front-end interfaces and back-end services, including REST APIs. • Ensure applications are designed for speed, scalability, and security. • Lead and provide technical guidance to junior developers. • Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines. • Ensure compliance with AODA and related accessibility standards. • Conduct design walkthroughs and provide post-implementation support. Required Skills: • Proficient in n-tier web-based applications and Java EE (J2EE) technologies. • Strong programming skills in JSF, Spring, MyBatis ORM, Servlets, Core Java, React, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap. • Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services and API design. • Expertise with relational databases including Oracle 19c and SQL Server. • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, AKS, WebSphere Liberty/Open Liberty, and DevOps toolchains. • Knowledge of software development tools: Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, ANT Build. • Experience with multiple operating systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows. • Familiarity with security and cryptography best practices. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in agile/scrum environments using tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps. Desired Skills: • Experience with rapid application development (RAD) methodologies. • Knowledge of middleware, gateways, and Oracle content management systems. • Familiarity with microservices architecture and WebSphere application server. • Understanding of Information Management principles and policies. • Experience creating reusable, testable AngularJS modules and components. • Knowledge of UX/UI fundamentals and mobile platform coding. • Experience with printing management systems and PDF architecture. • Ability to provide user and system documentation and training. • Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance. • Experience with J-rules and Eclipse-based development.
