Principal Technology Architect

Infosys is seeking a Principal Technology Architect in Banking domain. The resource will be joining our financial services Architecture team, this is a specialized team with expertise in supporting Enterprise Architecture for Banking, Cards & Payments, Mortgage etc., domain projects. Candidate will be responsible to interface with end-users, IT teams and key stakeholders to gather system requirements. Will also apply technical proficiency across different stages of the software development life cycle including requirements elicitation; this opportunity is to be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. Required Qualifications: • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel. • At least 15 years of overall technology experience. • At least 5 years of experience in Architecture or CTO Advisory roles • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the Canada without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation programs within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Capital Markets, or Payments. • Proven experience driving Cloud, Data, AI, Digital Engineering, and/or technology modernization initiatives in complex enterprise environments. • Strong banking and financial services domain knowledge, including banking and payments ecosystems. • Experience leading or supporting core banking modernization, including transformation of legacy platforms and technology capabilities. • Strong understanding of digital channels and customer-facing platforms, including modernization of digital banking experiences. • Experience applying FinOps principles to support cloud financial management, cost optimization, and technology efficiency. • Demonstrated experience with AI-enabled SDLC transformation, including the adoption of AI capabilities across software engineering and delivery practices. • Experience implementing or operating within a Product Operating Model and enabling product-centric technology delivery. • Ability to translate business and technology strategies into enterprise architecture, transformation roadmaps, and modernization priorities. • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic technology and architectural guidance to senior stakeholders and influence decisions across business and technology teams. • Ability to balance innovation, modernization, operational resilience, governance, and business outcomes when shaping enterprise technology strategy. • Good to have • TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification • Cloud architecture certification, such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or equivalent • AI/ML or Generative AI certification from a recognized technology provider • Kubernetes / Cloud Native certification • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps certification • Additional certifications in cloud, AI, platform engineering, or emerging technologies are considered an asset The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
