Trunativ has been recently backed by Emami Limited and Mr. Nithin Kamath Zerodha Rainmatter. Know more about us: http://www.trunativ.co. Role: Supply Chain Manager. Department: Supply Chain Management. Location: Andheri, Lower Oshiwara (100% Work from Office). Reports to: Founder and CEO. Job Summary: Own and optimise the end-to-end supply chain, with strong accountability for manufacturing execution, inventory accuracy, material availability, production planning, and on-time customer fulfilment. The role demands a hands-on operator who combines factory-floor understanding with analytical rigour, commercial judgement, and exceptional cross-functional leadership. Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing and Production Excellence: - Drive production planning, capacity utilisation, schedule adherence, and manufacturing efficiency across internal and third-party manufacturing facilities. - Translate demand forecasts into executable production plans, ensuring material readiness and timely product availability. - Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, process inefficiencies, avoidable downtime, and manufacturing wastage. - Partner with Quality and NPD teams to ensure smooth product launches, process compliance, and consistent product quality. Inventory and Stock Management: - Own end-to-end inventory across raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. - Maintain high inventory accuracy through disciplined stock reconciliation, cycle counts, physical verification, and system controls. - Establish optimum stock norms, safety stocks, reorder points, and inventory ageing controls to prevent stockouts, overstocking, and working-capital lock-up. - Implement FIFO/FEFO practices, batch traceability, expiry monitoring, and controls on obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving inventory. - Improve inventory turns and material availability without compromising service levels or production continuity. Procurement and Vendor Management: - Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and packaging in line with production plans and demand requirements. - Build strong vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and proactively manage lead times, quality issues, and supply risks. - Drive cost optimisation, purchase planning, and supply continuity without compromising quality or delivery commitments. Demand Planning and Customer Fulfilment: - Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to align forecasts, promotional requirements, new launches, and market demand with supply capabilities. - Own order fulfilment, dispatch planning, service levels, and on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance. - Anticipate demand fluctuations and supply constraints; implement corrective actions before they impact customers. Cross-Functional Leadership and Execution: - Build strong working relationships with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, NPD, Sales, Finance, and Warehouse teams. - Establish clear ownership, review mechanisms, escalation protocols, and data-driven operating rhythms. - Communicate proactively, resolve interdepartmental conflicts constructively, and drive decisions through facts rather than assumptions. - Take end-to-end accountability for problems, ensuring timely closure rather than merely escalating issues. Skills and Qualifications: - Experience: 6 - 8 years in supply chain, manufacturing operations, or production planning, preferably in FMCG, food, nutrition, nutraceuticals, or related consumer-product industries. - Manufacturing expertise: Demonstrated hands-on exposure to production planning, factory operations, capacity management, and contract manufacturing. - Inventory excellence: Strong command over inventory controls, stock reconciliation, ageing, batch traceability, expiry management, and working-capital optimisation. - Analytical capability: Proficiency in Excel, ERP/MRP systems, demand planning, inventory analytics, and operational MIS. - Commercial acumen: Ability to balance service levels, manufacturing costs, inventory investment, and business growth. - Leadership: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, problem-solving, and execution discipline. - Education: Graduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline. - A postgraduate qualification in Operations or Supply Chain is desirable. - Immediate joiners or candidates serving their notice period are preferred.
