Business Risk Officer

Mercury is building a complete finance stack for startups. Role Overview

We're looking for a Business Risk Officer to help scale the way Mercury builds products.

In this role you will report to our Head of Business Risk & Enablement and will partner with Product, Operations, Compliance and many other support and oversight teams to ensure that products and features are delivered “best-in-class” in a safe and sound manner.

Your success in this role will rely on subject matter expertise in one or more of Mercury’s core product offerings and associated risks. You will also be primarily responsible for the facilitation of non-financial risk management programs (see below).

Key Responsibilities

Identify any potential blind spots in processes and controls, and suggest commercial improvements/enhancements Facilitate pre-launch and new activity initiatives/reviews, tracking items to closure and escalating where/when necessary Facilitate execution of risk self assessments and similar exercises within the non-financial risk frameworks Event/incident, issues , and remediations management - ensuring that incidents and issues are recorded and managed through to remediation in line with any and all relevant frameworks in the company Develop and enhance iteratively KPIs/KRIs to be monitored by yourself, product/process owners, and other stakeholders in order to mitigate risk Coordinate interactions and responses between Product and Operations teams vs.
