Company Name: Maysoftech Job Title: Junior Estimation Engineer Location: To be confirmed Experience: 1 3 Years Salary: Up to 4 LPA Reports To: Lead Estimator Job Summary Maysoftech is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate project cost estimates, quantity surveys, and bid proposals. The candidate will work closely with the sales and operations teams to evaluate project requirements, review specifications, and ensure timely submission of competitive and cost-effective estimates. Key Responsibilities • Prepare accurate quantity surveys, cost estimates, and pricing for project bids and proposals. • Calculate costs for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, and labour. • Support the sales team in developing bidding strategies by reviewing project requirements and scope. • Maintain and manage project documentation, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate. • Attend pre-bid meetings to understand project specifications, scope, and client requirements. • Participate in bid closings, estimate reviews, and post-bid discussions. • Identify cost-effective alternatives through value analysis and recommend suitable solutions. • Track action items from post-bid discussions and help finalize project scope. • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to communicate project decisions and updates. • Manage multiple assignments and ensure estimates are completed within deadlines. • Communicate with US-based clients when required, including occasional availability until 10:00 PM IST. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. • 1 3 years of experience in estimation or a related field. • Prior experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or BOQ preparation is preferred. Required Skills • Good understanding of project drawings, plans, specifications, and scope of work. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and other MS Office applications. • Good English communication skills, including written and verbal communication. • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Customer-focused attitude with strong coordination and follow-up skills. • Ability to work independently on routine assignments and seek guidance when required. • Knowledge of Revit is an added advantage. Preferred Experience • Experience in preparing estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and bid proposals. • Familiarity with project costing, material pricing, labour costing, and subcontractor estimates. • Knowledge of laboratory products, services, processes, and projects is an advantage, as mentioned in the original job description. Working Requirements • Willingness to coordinate with US-based clients. • Flexibility to work or attend calls occasionally until 10:00 PM IST, depending on business requirements.
