About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce platform, is seeking a dynamic Procurement Lead to establish and direct their remote procurement operations. This is a key strategic role responsible for building a world‑class procurement function that supports rapid business growth. You will develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies, oversee major sourcing initiatives, and build and lead a high‑performing remote procurement team. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing spend, ensuring supply chain resilience, and driving value across all categories of goods and services required for the business. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy encompassing category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management. • Build, train, and lead a high-performing, fully remote procurement team. • Oversee major sourcing events and contract negotiations for critical categories, aiming for significant cost savings and improved terms. • Establish robust procurement processes, policies, and governance frameworks suitable for a remote-first organization. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, leveraging technology and data analytics. • Collaborate with executive leadership to align procurement objectives with strategic business goals and manage stakeholder expectations. Requirements • 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management , with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Proven experience in building and managing high‑performing remote procurement teams . • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives and category management plans. • Expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and supplier performance management. • MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
